On October 12, Giiwedinong, will open in the heart of the 1855 treaty territory - downtown Park Rapids, Minnesota. To put it simply, we need to raise $250,000 for this labor of love and commitment. The fact is that we will open on a shoestring budget, and we will need to raise the funds to grow, team up the museum, and share the stories, art and maps more widely. We invite you to support us through your generous donations. Through thousands of volunteer hours and fortuitous donations, and a lot of dedicated work, we will bring to Akiing - Minnesota's first independent Indigenous Museum.
