"Not Afraid to Look" sculpture on the museum's corner in Park Rapids, 101 2nd Street W., and Highway 71.
Kindly let us know you are coming by filling out the RSVP form below.
We are asking for sponsorship funds to bring the Not Afraid to Look sculpture to the Giiwedinong Museum.
We are presently seeking $10,000 to cover the expenses of transportation (1,250 miles), installation, and artist compensation. Together with the city of Park Rapids, we were able to build this piece for a permanent exhibit. The sculpture will be a potent symbol of our community's resilience and strength.
The sculpture will serve as a reminder of our community's ability to overcome challenges and unite in the face of adversity. Also, other funds raised will go towards supporting local Native artists, maintaining the Not Afraid to Look sculpture, and funding future community art projects. Your contribution will directly impact the preservation of cultural heritage and environmental conservation efforts in our community.
With your help, we can make a lasting difference for generations to come.
Let's work together to create a positive impact on our community and leave a legacy of Water Protectors.
